After his defeat at Over the Limit, McIntyre wasted little time before complaining in front of the WWE Universe. He threatened SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long with his job and ordered him to reverse the decision and declare him the Intercontinental Champion again. But the “Chosen One’s” wish wasn’t granted, as instead of Long appearing, it was an angry, reinvigorated Hardy who returned for retribution. Hardy barreled down the ramp toward the irritated McIntyre and hit him with a shocking Twist of Fate, leaving him helpless.
